Our organically produced seeds are the raw material for our Jamaican Black Castor Oil, grown, collected and left to dry until they are ready to be cleaned and baked.

PROCESS

Our Jamaican Black Castor Oil Seeds are grown in the traditional way and both the soil and the end product is chemically analysed tocompliance with various international requirements.

Step 1

The plants from which we pick the seeds are grown in our fields in St Ann and May Pen Jamaica. We are careful to ensure that the soil is not contaminated.

Step 2

The seeds are collected and any debris removed before they are naturally dried in the heat of the glorious Jamaican sunshine.

Step 3

The seeds are cleaned and baked. The time that we bake the seeds for, is dependent on how dark we want the Oil to be.

Step 4

The seeds are then ground into a paste, with boiling water added to the paste whilst continuously stirring*.

Step 5

The Oil is then poured into containers of any size chosen by our customers.
